The word grotesque is defined as something which is distorted in shape and size and which looks unnatural. In other words, something which looks abnormal and hideous is referred to a grotesque objects. Grotesque also refers to a creation of art which is characterised by a mixture of the parts of animals and people, interspersed with those of plants, which looks rather incongruous. A grotesque antic is an act which looks silly, bizarre and ludicrously odd.
