Bolognese is somebody or something originating from the city of Bologna in Italy. Bolognese is also related to cookery. Bolognese is a special dish served with meat sauce or tomato sauce along with the addition of mushrooms and garlic's etc.

Bolognese also refers to dishes served with a thick sauce of vegetable or full bodied meat, enhanced with cream or milk and wine. The dish especially contains prosciutto, ground beef, and cheese in it to give Bolognese a better taste. Bolognese is also referred to as Fine Arts noting a way or manner of work of art developed in Bologna at some point in the late 16th century by the Carracci, characterised primarily by forms and colours resultant from the Roman high rebirth and from the Venetians.
