Locomotor means movement. It is related to locomotive or anything pertaining to it. Basic locomotor steps are the walk, run, hop, and jump and the irregular rhythmic combinations of the skip and gallop. This term is the adjective form of locomotion. It is taken from the Latin word Loco which means "from a place". Locomotor indicates movement from one place to another.

Non-locomotor is the opposite of locomotor which means static or unmoving and still. Locomotor can be explained as the act of being in locomotion. Living things may or may not be locomotive while in animate objects are generally non-locomotor unless somebody moves them. There are certain organs in our body that are known as locomotor organs. It is pronounced as "lO-k&-'mO-t&r".
