Jargoning means the usage of jargon. Jargon is a terminology that is very similar to slang. It is related to a specific activity, profession, or group. When people use words that are not familiar with everyone and are more colloquial or native in origin then that act is said to be jargoning. It is a barrier in communication. It hinders the oath of communication and hinders it progress. When they use big hi-fi words when a simpler one would serve the exact purpose even then it is said to be jargoning.

Jargoning also refers to the vocalisation pattern of infants. It consists of all the intonations, inflection and rhythm of conversation or speech but it is quite unintelligible to grown ups as the baby has not yet learned to pronounce the words properly. It seems like a foreign language. There are two types of jargoning in this context called as mature jargoning and immature jargoning. Immature jargoning is entirely unintelligible while mature jargoning at least has some terms that can be understood. It is very expressive in nature. Jargoning happens to babies from the 14th month and the 18th month.
