A juvenile can be best described as an adolescent. However it is not necessarily applied to solely teenagers it could indicate anyone who lacks maturity. For instance 'To hide my bag was a juvenile prank' or 'despite his mature appearance his behaviour was exceedingly juvenile'. It may indicate a person who is youthful. Alternatively the term juvenile may also be relating to, or typical of, or apt for children or teenagers, for example 'Her fashion sense is juvenile' or 'juvenile delinquency is on the rise'.

Juvenile is also a legal term to describe a young person. The age until which a person is a juvenile differs in different countries. In the UK a juvenile is a person who is under eighteen years old. Juvenile have separate courts, separate punishments and separate prison or 'detention houses'.

Juvenile is also the name of an American rap artist. He hailed from New Orleans in the state of Louisiana and began his rap career at age nineteen.

The term juvenile describes a phenomenon or characteristics that are pertinent or appropriate for children or those who are young and primarily, it is used to convey the idea of being immature or having a lack of maturity.

If you are talking about the whereabouts of juveniles, you can find them in any society and anywhere.

If we take the other uses of the term juvenile, it is widely used in some other contexts these days. As we know that due to the lifestyle changes, people are getting some diseases at quite an early age, so you can use the word to convey the idea of the disease as juvenile disease.
