The word corrugated describes a phenomenon of an object in which there is a series of regular folds that create the impression of waves.

You might have seen the kind of houses where the roof is not made of concrete. The causes of the phenomenon can be anything; sometimes it is lack of money and sometimes the temporary nature of the houses. In such cases people tend to make the kind of houses where temporary roofs can be used and people choose this kind of roof. The roofs are usually made of asbestos sheet or of tin. And they are compressed in such a way that there forms a kind of wave on the surface. This kind of roof can be called corrugated roof or anything that has this kind of surface.
