The term hemorrhagic means a profuse discharge of blood also known as bleeding. Bleeding basically is the loss of Blood from the body. Its basic meaning is the escape of blood to extra vascular space.

Total loss of blood is known as exsanguinations, the flowing blood volume is around 70 ml of the perfect body weight. Hence a standard 70 kg male has around 5000 ml of flowing blood in him. The loss of around 10-15% of overall blood volume can be tolerated devoid of clinical squeal in a hale and hearty human being.

The human body produces blood at a speed of around two litres for every week. The method of blood transfusion is applied to restore enormous quantities of blood which has been lost in an accident or through by any other means.
