The term freehold basically means an estate in land, inherited or held for life. Freehold is also the name of a well known Borough located in the Monmouth County which is based in New Jersey, United States.

According to the census conducted in the year 2000, the total population of this region was estimated at 10,976. It is basically the county seat of Monmouth County. The census report of the year 2000 stated that the total area of this region was 5.2 square kilometres, out of which all was land. The Freehold Borough is at a height of 100 feet above the sea level.

The Freehold was positioned close to the western boundary of Freehold Borough next to the Freehold Raceway. Freehold Borough is administrated by a six-member borough committee and has a mayor even.
