Dyadic is an adjective related to dyad that conveys the idea of two. So dyadic is something that is pertinent to two.

The word dyad can be used for anything that are in pair or has something to do with two. You can use the term as used in the following pair of words: mother-daughter dyad.

The word has its use in science also and in biology it conveys the concept of a pair of homogenous chromosomes that is resulted when the tetrad divides during meiosis. In chemistry you can use the term for a divalent atom or radical. The term can be used in mathematics also and is used for a tensor that is formed from a vector in the vector space with that of the linear function on that very vector space.
