Communicable is something like contagious or something that is transmissible between individuals as well as species. In other terms it could also be referred to as communicable ideas. Communicable disease has the tendency of being passed on, due to infection.

Some words that could better describe it are catching, contractible, transmissible, transmittable and contagious. It is also known as an infectious disease that could spread rapidly throughout a community or even from one individual to another.
