Farce basically is a comedy. It is penned down for a stage or film and its primary intent is to entertain and amuse the spectators by means of unlikely and exaggerated- yet imaginable situations, disguise and mistaken identities. It also comprises of puns and sexual innuendo, with a fast-placed plot whose pace generally becomes really fast towards the end of the play. To lift the pace of the ending an elaborated chase scene is put towards the end of the play.
A large scale physical humour and unnecessary absurdity or nonsense, are commonly used is a farce. Different from romantic comedies, farces usually do not include a distinctive plot in which aggravated young lovers ultimately overcome all obstacles.
