In today's lingo 'mojo' is generally a term used to refer to a man's libido, virility or sex drive. The term was made very popular after one of the Austin Powers movies which starred Mike Myers. He referred to 'mojo' as a combination of all the right stuff that made a man successful. Before this the term was also used by the Doors front man, Jim Morrison to refer to himself as Mr Mojo Risin' (an anagram of his name).
However, the word actually has African origins and popular refers to a conjecture hand. The mojo was said to be a small bag which contained certain herbs as well as magic charms. This tiny bag, often tied with a drawstring and worn under one's clothing was said to bring luck.
