I think you are probably asking about the word fragrance. This word is used as a noun to talk about a particular smell that we notice or smell. It refers to something pleasant and normally concerns the fragrance of a flower, food or perfume. Such as those flowers have such a lovely fragrance.
Or I love the fragrance of newly baked bread. Or vanilla is a fragrance I love. Fragrance is also used to describe perfume.
For example, one once of the fragrance Joy is very expensive

If we want to be negative about a smell, we don't usually refer to it as a fragrance but as a smell or an odour.
So we would say what a terrible smell, or, smell that, it's horrible.
Fragrance is only used in the noun form then ,and not as a verb as smell is, we all do not use odour as a verb.
