The word theological refers to something that is of or pertaining to the field of theology or to any kind of a specialisation of religious study. It is basically used to describe anything that is religious in nature.

Theology is basically the study of the nature of God and true religion; it is a rational investigation into religious queries. Theology is a structure of beliefs that concern God and religion. Theology is also a course or an area of study which is generally studied at a college or a seminary.

The word theology is derived from the Old French word theologie, which is in turn derived from the Latin word theologia, from the same word of Greek origin, which is a combination of two words, 'theo' meaning 'God' and 'logy' meaning 'study'.
