Exasperating means "frustrating" or "something that makes one annoyed", the word is the adjective form of the verb "exasperate" and the noun "exasperation." The word can also mean "something which causes boredom."

One can feel exasperated due to monotony or an infuriating experience. If you are on a mundane journey without company, you can get exasperated. One may also find it exasperating to work in a thankless vocation without any kind of job satisfaction. Any kind of experience or encounter which does not rouse curiosity, or which is plain mundane, can be quite exasperating or disinteresting. Here is a sentence which uses the word exasperating: "Working in my last company for twelve hours a day without any breaks was quite an exasperating experience."
