The word omni is derived from the word omnis which is of Latin origin. In the English language omni is a prefix which means 'all'. Like for instance 'omnipotent' means all powerful, 'omnipresent' means present everywhere and 'omniscient' means all knowing. In Christianity God is believed to be omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent.

Omni is the name of a science fiction magazine which was published between 1978 and 1995. In the Book of Mormon there is a character called Omni.
