The word "moby" has many meanings. It can mean something which is huge, enormous or impressive. Here is a sentence which conveys the meaning of the word:
The Jupiter is a truly moby planet.
It can also mean the biggest available unit of something. For instance when we say "a moby bottle of Pepsi", we mean the biggest available bottle of that soft drink.

A title conferred while addressing a competent hacker with respect and awe, in slang, uses the word "moby." For example: "Hello moby Chris. How is that Trojan for desktop faring?"

Moby-Dick is a popular fictitious huge white whale who troubles Captain Ahab in the novel by the same name. The story written by Herman Melville in the year 1851 revolves around the captain's desire sprung out of revenge, to find and kill the whale. The captain had lost his leg in the previous encounter and is now hell bent on teaching the whale a lesson. Though the captain manages to find the whale in the end, Moby Dick kills the captain and drowns the ship and the crew into the watery grave.
