The term Madre in the Spanish language means mother. A mother basically is the social female parent of a young one. In the human situation, the genetic mother gestates her child in her womb until the foetus is completely well-developed to be born.
Later on the mother goes through the phase of labour and eventually gives birth. After the child is born, the body of the mother produces milk, a procedure which is known as lactation, to feed the child.
Mothers generally play a vital part in the upbringing of a child, and the designation mother can be given to a woman apart from the biological mother itself. In certain societies, sole motherhood, which is the condition being an unmarried mother, is usually taken as a very grave social issue.
