Indeterminate has various meanings in various references. In Botany, indeterminate is linked with the growth. It refers to a growth that is to say not completed in disparity to determinate development that discontinues once a hereditarily encoded arrangement has finally shaped. Therefore when a plant grows and produces flowers and fruits, if they are not killed by the cold or any other external factor, it is called as indeterminate.

With the reference to a shoot bearing plant, an indeterminate growth may refer to the fact that the flowers growing and breaching from the bottom to the tip. The development of the shoot is not obstructed by the opening of the before time flowers or progress of fruits and its form is of mounting and manufacturing flowers for an indefinite period
