I don't care what you all say but CHELSEA is a wonderful name, to me,the name means loving, intelligent etc. And also beauty. Its better to name CHELSEA rather than naming your child after animals and things-like a dog and a car. Give me a break.
The name Chelsea is a girl’s name and the origins of the name can be traced back to Old English. The meaning of the name is “Chalk landing place”. It is a place name, there is district by the same name in London and there are several locations in the United States that have this name. The name is relatively as it was made in the 20th century. Some of the variations of the name are Chelcie, Chelsa, Chelsee, Chelsey, Chesly and many others.
It is pronounced Chel - sea and it is my best friend's name. It is a wonderful name that means a chalk wharf sea-port . It is a great name and it is most commonly spelled Chelsea or Chelsey. I prefer the spelling Chelsea.
My name is Chelsea as well. I believe the official meaning is "a port of ships". I have also heard the meaning "a safe harbor". I like to go with this meaning, even though it isn't the official one. It puts me in mind of someone who is compassionate, loyal, protective, and nurturing. That is the meaning I like to try to live up to. :)
The name Chelsea (Shell-see) is of Old English origin and means a chalk seaport; implying a place where one either found chalk deposits or where chalk was unloaded. The name refers to a district of London as well as several similarly named places in the US and was associated with British pop culture of the 1960s due to its use in many songs of that time. Chelsea is the name of former US President Bill Clinton's daughter.

My name is chelsey, and for a little while I didnt like it, because my name was supposed to be shelby, but when I was born, my name was some how messed up on the birth certificate. But soon enough, I started to love it, because I now think it is a carefree name, like an ocean...
