Rapport can be used in relations to coaches, teachers, and other relationship descriptions.  It is defined as: Relation; connection, especially harmonious or sympathetic relation.  Example: The coach establishes a close rapport with all of her students.

The word rapport is a derivative of the French word rapporter:  To bring back, report, equivalent to.   It is synonymous with fellowship, camaraderie, and understanding.

Rapport is also a free downloadable software that detects and prevents ‘man in the browser’, ‘man-in-the-middle’, phishing, and other attacks launched against the user. This service includes a lightweight browser security plug-in, and cloud-based analysis & reporting services. The browser plug-in works with the more popular browsers, including Microsoft IE, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Google Chrome. When you browse to sensitive websites such as online banking, Webmail, or payment pages, the Rapport plug-in immediately locks down the browser, and blocks unauthorized access to the pages and personal information that are passed through the browser. This is a good tool to have in your favor or at least one like it.

There is also a fine Italian furniture brand Rapport.  They offer great selections of contemporary Italian furniture in their Los Angeles Showroom.  Featuring leather sofas, living, dining, bedroom and outdoor sets, great prices, free parking, conveniently located on La Brea Ave, between Melrose and Beverly in LA, California.

These two companies are exerting their individuality and style in their image by using a strong word such as Rapport for their branding.  While some words are losing their meanings, others are maintaining them with solid dignity and historic presence.  Corporate branding is critical and words such as these make for instantly recognizable marketing approaches.

Knowing the meanings and uses of words can assist you in many areas in your life.  From writing letters to polishing school papers, there are hundreds of ways linguistic skills can assist the average person.
