Ministerial responsibility also known as Individual ministerial responsibility is basically a constitutional gathering in governments using the Westminster System that a cabinet minister holds the final accountability for the proceedings of their ministry. On the other hand, Individual Ministerial accountability is not considered to be the identical as cabinet collective responsibility, which states members of the cabinet must support openly of its communal decisions or resign. In short, a minister is eventually accountable for all proceedings by a ministry.

However, now a day it has been argued the concept of ministerial accountability has been windswept in a lot of Commonwealth countries. While the set of guidelines is a legitimate gathering there is no prescribed mechanism for enforcing the law. These days' ministers regularly use lack of knowledge of misbehaviour as a disagreement for lack of responsibility. While opposition parties seldom accept this disagreement, the people entitled to vote are frequently more uncomplaining.
