Shaban is an Arabic term. It refers to the month of separation. This has been called so because the early pagan Arabs used to disperse for the purpose of searching water. On the fifteenth day of this month, there is a day that falls. It is called as Shab-I-Barat. It means the night of records. It is believed that on this night, Muhammad had told his followers something. It was that the God records all the deeds of the human beings that they have to perform in the next year.
Shaban changes with the seasons due to the reason that the Islamic calendar is having approximately 11 or 12 days shorter than the solar year. There is no evidence that records the presence of Shaaban in the Quranic or the Hadith evidence.
