What Does Cyber Mean?

The term cyber is increasingly being used nowadays. It refers to computers and other items that are computerised. Both real and imagined computerised items are collectively known as cyber. It is now generally used to refer to all automated or computerised systems. The word cyber is commonly used in connection to both hardware and software.

Cyber is also the name of a fictional character. He is one of the most popular super villains in the Marvel comic books. He is the enemy of the character Wolverine in the X-Men comic book series. The creators of the X-Men comics were Peter David and Sam Kieth. He made his debut in the eighty-fifth book of the Marvel Comics Presents X-Men series in the month of September 1991.

He wore a trench coat in his debut comic and claimed that his arch-rival Wolverine was the killer of his father. His identity, however, was revealed in his first full-fledged comic book appearance, in the eighty-sixth book of the series.

Cyber is a prefix, such as "re-" or "in-" for example.  The use of the prefix is typically "productive," meaning it can be used before almost any word to specify the meaning of that word.  Cyber is usually used in terms of things that are either electronic or computer/internet related.  Two good examples of the use of cyber is in words like cyberspace, meaning computer space, or cybersex meaning virtual sex on the computer.  Cyber in and of itself may be a word, I'm not sure on that...but it typically is only used as a prefix as far as I know.  I do hope this helped some.
