The word 'corral' describes a fenced area where you can keep your horses and cows. The word is usually used in the continent of North America for this meaning and usually associated with a farm or a ranch. You can use the word as used in the following sentence: They drove the horses into the corral.

The word can also be used as a verb and the act of forcing the cattle or horses can also be termed as to corral them.

Sometimes the word is being used for the people also when they are gathered and kept confined in a particular area. The word basically used when a kind of authority is shown by the master who is corralling the people. When it comes to animals there is no need to say about the authority as it is anyone's guess.

Corral is a pen or enclosure for confining or capturing livestock. It may also be an enclosure made with wagons for defence of an encampment.
