The name Halo is of the Greek origin and means Head Aura. The name Hala is of Arabic origin and means the same as Halo. A simpler meaning of the name Halo means a "circle of light".

Halo is also a very famous video game. It is a trilogy which consists of Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and Halo 3 and the latest addition is called Halo Wars. All three are based on the "Master Chief" Spartan-117. Master Chief is the human super solider who is equipped with battle armours which are technologically advanced and even deadly. Cortana, in Halo, is Master Chief's Construct AI companion. The game has a mysterious planet like construct which is called the "Halo".
