What is Lust?

In the simplest terms, Lust is used to describe the intense feelings that one has in the earliest stages of a relationship. Some people mistake this for love as the feeling is so intense. It makes you want to spend every minute of every day talking to, texting or talking about the object of your affection. Lust is a strong emotion based on a desire to know another person carnally. If you lust after someone, you want to touch that person, make love with him or her, and generally know the man or woman in a tangible, physical sense

Why does it feel so strong?
From puberty onwards, young men and women experience feelings of lust which may also be accompanied by other, more tender emotions, such as love or protectiveness towards the object of their affections however, lust can (and often does) exist without such secondary emotions. One example of lust without emotional attachments would be the feelings of physical arousal triggered by pornography or "pin-up" models. Lust is found is both sexes, and it can be heterosexual or homosexual. In a world of billions of people, there are different flavors and styles of lust, and many variations on the norm.

Lust is believed to be a scientific phenomenon that leads to the reproduction and propagation of the human species. Our hormonal triggers, pheromones, and personality quirks make us all susceptible to feelings of lust for certain people. For example, women may be attracted to power; this is why an older man with no discernable handsomeness may be extremely attractive to young, beautiful women. However, lust isn't about money, it's a purely physical reaction that may be triggered by another person's strength, power, beauty, or charm. Men are visual creatures who will usually feel lust when they see a beautiful female body or face - they can experience a heady sense of "intoxication" around a stunning, fit female.

What next? Since lust takes so many forms, and is normally associated with a great deal of physical contact at the start of a relationship,it is somewhat mysterious and complicated. It is difficult to tell when Lust dissipates and becomes love.  Luckily, there are many people who come together during moments of lust, only to deepen and strengthen their relationships over time. Lust that turns to long-lasting love is the cherished ideal for many people.

Well you can define lust as something when people are just interested in you because of your looks and they are attracted towards you because of your physical appearance. In such cases, the relation does not survive for long and they land up separation from both side. At times girls mistake in understanding the basic requirement of their bf. At times, guys just want to play around with girls and show-off in front of their friends that they too have gift. So you see it's just a pure case, where people just want to have fun and get go.

A very good of lust is that guys and at times girls too, have relation only because they are physically attracted, and they just to spend nights together, and when they are done with what they wanted, they say it's over. So, the point is lust is completely a part where people use and throw. And love is so much different and there is so much more to it. Love is when you love someone for the beautiful soul they have, for the nature they have and not for the figure they carry and they way they spend the money. Love and lust are two entirely different things

Lust means to want something really bad, but without love, like you lust after someone without even knowing them, or lust for life, an incredible love of life, as life can't love you back.  Lust is to want something bad, love it bad, like lusting after deserts.  Hope this helps

The word lust is derived from the Old English word meaning 'desire'. Later, it was adapted by Middle English. This word can be used as a noun and as verb. Lust is described as an unrestrained sexual craving. A person who possesses such a desire is termed lecherous. For example: a lust for power. In this example, lust indicates an irresistible desire for power. It does not concern physical cravings. Here, lust has a negative implication. Another example: lust for life. In this example, lust denotes eagerness or enthusiasm. Here, lust has a positive connotation.

Lust could also mean 'pleasure or relish'. But, this use is obsolete. When someone lusts for or lusts after someone or something, he has an intense or obsessive desire to possess that person or thing. Such a desire is generally sexual. For example: Mike lusted for Marianne.

Well, too much insulting of Lust here.
I believe every element of human psyche is an essential part in completing himself. If you don't have lust, you can't handle it when it's from the opposite side too. Sometimes love needs lust. But without love, you only satisfy yourself, using lust. A person who doesn't have any lust towards you can't really be there forever, at least while you have dignity and honesty in your behavior.
On the other hand, without love, every single relationship is a disaster, a curse.
But the fact is hitting this jackpot (lust for someone you love) is hard and might even be impossible.
I think it's better if partners come into agreements of trying to see their best sides by taking time. Because when you know someone so well, spending her time for you, you, as a sane person see the good in her. And that will help you find the lust that can give you happiness.
God created lust for a reason. We're too selfish to explore it in the good way, that's all.

A strong sexual desire, Lust (or lechery) is an inordinate craving for sexual intercourse often to the point of assuming a self-indulgent, and sometimes violent character. Lust, or an immoderate desire for the flesh of another.

Lust is desire that is stimulated by a superficial impression of the
object of passion with a selfish consideration in mind. On this basis,
lust is not taking an interest in someone for their own sake, but
mostly in order to gain pleasure of some sort from that person.

In contrast, love is when the desire towards a person is fully mediated
by a consciousness of the importance of the person and when attention
is given in actions towards this person with the appreciation of his or
her inherent worth as the driving motivation.
