The word "epic" has a couple of definitions.  As a noun, "epic" can be defined as "a long and difficult task"  Alternatively, as an adjective, "epic" can be defined as "heroic or grand in scale".

Modern use of the word "epic"

Today, the word "epic" appears to have been adopted to describe pretty much anything you can think of that's considered positive.  For example, a good movie will now be described as an epic movie.

Likewise, if someone trips over, it will often be described as an epic fail. The list is endless.

Epic Meal Time

One of my favourite uses of the word "epic" comes in the form of "Epic Meal Time", which is a highly successful YouTube cooking show that makes some of the world's highest calorie meals.

Epic is certainly a great way of describing some of the meals they create, and I find it highly unlikely that most people could stomach some of the food that they produce.

That being said, it's great to watch some of your favourite fast food options being combined to create something of epic proportions.  See what I did there? Here are some of my favourite concoctions from Epic Meal Time:

Meat Salad

Forget the lettuce and tomatoes.  This salad has a variety of delicious ingredients, and they all have one thing in common.  Meat.

Candy Sushi

Not fond of fish? You can still indulge in some sushi with the amazing candy sushi!

Chinese Burger

Bored of ordinary cheeseburgers? How about a combination of Chinese food and burgers?
