Spanish-speakers don't make verbs negative the same way we do in English. We change "He watched the movie" to "He didn't watch the movie."
 
In Spanish, it's really easier: You simply place "no" before the verb (no matter what tense or subject)
 
"Él vio la película" becomes "Él no vio la película."
