O'Conchobhar is the proper spelling, I'm from cork, I've been speaking irish all my life at home n in school. But we pronounce it:   Cruh-hure. It means 'the son of connor'.

It is an irish surname but it's not in irish. Irish is a language...known as gaelic to americans?? So if you would like to translate it i believe the translation is macconchur or something along those lines.... That's how it sounds phoenetically!
