WWF indicates World Wide Fund for Nature. Formerly, it was called the World Wildlife Fund. The World Wide Fund for Nature is an outfit dedicated to global environment preservation and environmental research.

WWF is aimed to stop the degradation and abuse of natural environment. It is an organization which fosters a joyous harmony of human beings with the flora and fauna. The WWF volunteers seek to control the pollution and wasteful utilization of natural resources and non-renewable sources of energy. The approach to natural conservation is factual and scientific, focused on six priority issues: ocean and coasts, freshwater, endangered species, dangerous threats of toxic chemicals, climatic change and forest conservation.
