Colour can also be defined as shades, tint or hues. There are several colours around us and we all live in a very colourful world. Colours and symbology have gone hand in hand since the ancient times. Different colours have different meaning and significance in different cultures, nations and religions. I am giving some of the most popular connotations connected with certain colours.

Red is most often associated with danger, anger and vibrance. Some certain shades of red are also known as the symbol of love as in red roses. Green colour is related to fertility, jealousy, youth, and nature. At times it also symbolises a religion as in Islam. Blue colour is used to denote royalty as in blue blood, loyalty, love because a bride in Christian countries always carry something blue with her on her wedding day. It is also associated with things like prominence, a kind of music and is generally known as a relaxing colour. Yellow is considered as a symbol of auspiciousness, arrival of spring and the colour of a farmer as in his land. At times this colour is also associated with deceit, cowardice and irresponsibility. Thus every colour has its own significance. You would get all of them through different sites on the internet.
