Prevention is better then cure means that it it is better to stop a bad thing from happening in the first place then to let it happen and then go to the trouble of fixing it.some things are very difficult to fix, and it would be better if they were already fine and didn't need to be fixed.

Example: A boy caught a cold and had to take horrible medicine. He hated the medicine and wished he did not have a cold.It would be better to have the cold prevented, then it wouldn't need to be cured.

What does it means to prevent and to cure?Well prevention means to prevent you getting it in the first place, and curing something is getting rid of something you have, so its better to prevent  rather than suffering from a problem and having to cure it
One may think that "prevention is better than cure" is a quote from the goddess Hygiene, yet the vintage is recent and the wisdom is more limited than it appears.
This adage can be used in all walks of life! From health to studies, eating and drinking, business to rest and many other.
Now let me share an incident with you. This is about one of my aunt who lives in my neighbourhood. She is very fat and she daily makes a promise to herself that she would lose at least 10 kg weight the same month but does nothing for it . Every time she says she would start exercising, dieting from the next month and lose weight. She is growing fatter and fatter and is also gaining more weight.  Few years later, when she would be suffering from deseases then she would think that it would have been easy to prevent than to cure.

It is better to be careful beforehand than to try to solve a problem after it has arisen.
It is better to try to keep a bad thing from happening than it is to fix the bad thing once it has happened. (See also An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.) If we spend more money on education, so that children learn to be responsible citizens, we won't have to spend so much money on prisons. Prevention is better than cure.

If you can prevent a disease, or physical disorder, or even a sickness by eating, drinking, sleeping, and exercising just plain taking care of your self all correctly; is much better than getting a disease which could have been prevented. Just think of the possible pain, doctors bills, hospital bills, all the pills and "icky" medications. The list goes on and on. In short take care of yourself!!

Prevention is better than cure means that it is better to stop a bad thing from happening rather than go to the trouble of fixing it. Some things are very difficult to fix and it would be better if they were already fine and needn't be fixed. We can relate this to another proverb, An ounce prevention is better than a pound cure.
