The phrase 'last supper' most popularly refers to the final meal which Jesus had along with his chosen apostles prior to his death. It is a well known element of Christianity which is referred to in the mass (a Christian ritual). It is also sometimes used to refer to the Room of the Last Supper, located in Jerusalem, which is believed to be the actual site where the Last Supper might have taken place.

Over the course of the Last Supper, there are precise references made to taking bread and wine, which is to be done in remembrance of Jesus.

It is commonly known that The Last Supper, right through history, has been the subject matter of numerous paintings, conceivably the most famous being the one portrayed by Leonardo da Vinci.
