Hilar is adjective and related with hilum. In human anatomy, hilum is the opening through which ducts, blood vessels or nerves enter or leave in an organ. Hilum is present above or behind the cardiac impression. Bilateral means identical parts on each side of the axis.
Bilateral hilar does not give complete sense until or unless added with some disease or condition. E.g. Bilateral hilar adenopathy or bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy.
