Computers are available in various sizes, weights and shapes. On the basis of these three characteristics computers can perform different jobs and they are used by different organizations. On the basis of these characteristics computers can be classified. Even computers can be classified on the basis of their sizes, speed and usability. For example, a computer at home will be different from a computer that is used by an airline or a hospital. On the basis of their purpose, computers can be classified as Super Computers, Mainframe, Personal Computers, and Note Books etc. This shows that classification of computers means that how the computers can be grouped depending upon their features.
