What Does The Term Overruled In Court Mean?

Say for instant your lawyer ask a question, your opposing lawyer objects to the question, then the judge can say sustained-meaning he would not let the question be answered as asked; as where over ruled means the judge would let the question be answered.  I hope I answered to where you can understand my meaning.

When a attorney has spoken extensively to get their point across, the Judge will say over ruled, meaning to rule against and disallow the argument or to exercise the control the augment.
