An ambassador for Christ is one who spreads the Good News of being "born Again" in Christ. The "ambassador" will witness to others trying to get them to "believe" before Christ returns after the tribulation.

God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.Prov.13[17] A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: But a faithful ambassador is health.Isa.18[2] That sendeth ambassadors
by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go,
ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people
terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden
down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!Isa.33[7] Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: The ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly..2Cor.5[20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: We pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.Eph.6[20] For which I am an ambassador in bonds: That therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
