The term COB stands for Chairman of the Board. In reference to a company a director is an officer in a big multinational company who is responsible for the management and other affairs related to the company. If the company has more than 2-5 directors then it is referred to as Board of Directors. The director who is the head of all these directors is known as Chairman of the Board. In much bigger companies the directors and the Chairman of the Board have much more amount of power and control of the affairs of the company.
