Recently, the Department of Treasury, San Francisco, conducted an extensive research into some of the most common names in the world today. The purpose behind such research was to try to catch a terrorist.
The research revealed that some two hundred names were most commonly used across the world, the most common among them being Gonzales, Lopez, Ali, Hussein, Abdul, Lucas, and Gibson.
The government watch list has however proved to be a major inconvenience, if not a downright nuisance for those people whose names are on this list of common names. The reason? They are turned away by insurance and loan companies, because they are 'potential' terrorists.
Companies who get even a partial match on these common names are reluctant to ferret out the mistake and rectify it, and the end result is that these people with the most common names in the world are forced to suffer and endure in silence, until how long...?
