I like the disclaimer on advertisements for prescription drugs, where they tell you not to take the drug if you are allergic to it.

What idiot would do so?

And what idiot doctor would prescribe a drug the patient is allergic to?

And how do you know if you are allergic to it if you have not taken it? If you have an allergic reaction to a drug, and you try to sue the Company, they can say.. We warned you not to take it if you were allergic to it!! (covering themselves) :)

I don't know about your doctor ... but whenever mine wants to give me a prescription for a drug I've never taken, he has me take a sample in his office to check for any allergic reaction.

A disclaimer allows people to expect certain transgressions within a product - which can be a good thing
