St. Michael is remembered on September 29th because of the war with St. Gabriel and St. Raphael, and of All Angels, because of all the Angels who helped him win the Battle with Lucifer.

Does St. Michael have A prayer?

Yes this is his prayer

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

The term St Michael is made up of two words -Saint and Michael. A saint is a person who is considered holy. He was accepted as a saint through canonization. In some religions a person accepted as holy by majority of the population is termed a saint. Michael was popularly used as a male name in Europe. Michael means 'who is like God or who resembles God'. This name has a Hebrew origin. St Michael is also known as the Archangel. An Archangel is a high-ranking angel.

The Book of revelation (12:7) mentions St Michael. He is also mentioned as a prince in Book of Daniel. He is portrayed as a prince who protects the children of Daniel. St Michael is an important angel found in Abrahamic tradition.

Michael is an Archangel with a flaming sword, top general of the Army of God and patron saint of warriors. He won't stand for *anything* you might be thinking of doing!
