Mentality refers to a cast or turn or direction of thinking of the mind. It can also refer to the sum or total of a person's intellectual or mental endowment and capacity. It can also refer to a characteristic thought process of any group or individual. Mentality can also refer to the faculty of reasoning, thinking and the acquisition and application of knowledge.

Mentality can be defined as intelligence or state of mind and its synonyms include brain, learning ability, wit, mental capacity, brainpower, mindset and outlook. Mentality can be defined as a characteristic or habitual mental attitude that acts as a determinant how one will respond or interpret situations.
