Yes that's true to a certain extent because it will be based on that person's experiences, cultural background, emotions, knowledge etc.but this will limit the analysis to one person's interpretation and not consider how others may make meaning of the subject matter being analysed

I think what David Lodge was trying to say was that people who analyse a piece of text are actually revealing their perspective and interpretation, rather than analysing the work itself.
My personal view is that analysis does reveal something about the person making the analysis, but if that person's perspective is able to align with that of the author, then analysis can also be an insight into the intent of the author himself.
