In my opinion, the best way to learn a language is to use visuals - so here goes:
1-10 in Japanese
1 = ichi
2 = ni
3 = san
4 = yon
5 = go
6 = roku
7 = nana
8 = hachi
9 = kyuu
10 = ju
Go through the list a couple of times and test yourself to see how many you can remember! I think you'll surprise yourself :)
