By objective we mean aim or a goal that can be defined in objective or concrete terms about what is to be achieved. An objective can often be quantified and may have a time limit attached with it. Its focus is narrow, are specific and measureable. On the other hand a purpose is more concerned about the effects of the outcome and is more abstract as it not measureable. It is more synonymous with intention but the actual outcome may be quite different from what was originally intended. Purpose is more general while objective is specific.
