Precancerous always means that an examination and or biopsy has determined that a growth or tumor (a lesion, in medical parlance) meets sufficient pathology indicators and criteria to make a near certain prediction that, without further diagnosis/treatment, a full blown case of cancer, including possible metastasis, will ensue (will continue to ensue) over the upcoming days/weeks/months. While remission of precancerous lesions is a possibility, gambling on deferring of treatment is typically a path to regret.
