Davis: In Hebrew as a last name it refers to one who is blessed or beloved not the for-name and as for there fore-name/forename being davis it refers to as of many things but all implying the same basic summary the son of god . Now of course Hebrew is read right to left not left to right which can leave many unaware as to where one is a forename in Hebrew it may appear last ( only if reading it in Hebrew of course) so if you are using google translate such as me beware :)
