What Does Style Mean In A Story?

Style is how the author writes or portrays the story, and it's kinda like the formalist aspect of literature.

For example, Daniel Defoe uses run-on sentences in Robinson Crusoe, making it somewhat hard to follow and making the reader work to figure out what is happening. That would be an example of style.

Does this have anything to do with a project you have to present tomorrow? :)
