The saying ‘Pride comes before the fall’ is very famous, it has a metaphoric meaning, it means that after being very obnoxious and stuck up about something you’ve won, you will soon fall flat on your face. The actual Bible verse (King James Version) is "Pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall." However it has been simplified to understand. Furthermore, also means if you are too confident in yourself then you will fall, or something bad will happen.
